Petra McDonald is a bisexual, pagan artist who receives visions from the gods when she paints. When Petra paints and increasingly disturbing series of portraits featuring a young girl, she asks her psychic friend for help in contacting the gods more directly. The girl has been kidnapped by the queen of the Fae and Petra is tasked with bringing her home. Can Petra travel to Faery, pass all of the queen's challenges and save the child before it's too late?

You'll have a chance to find out later this year because Petra McDonald and the Queen of the Fae has been accepted for publication by Fox Spirit Books. This first foray into Petra McDonald's life is a novella that I pretty much wrote in a month. It's a complete standalone story but I suspect that Petra has more stories to tell so I wouldn't be surprised to find myself writing about her again in the future.

On another note, Ashael Falling is going well and my target is currently to finish the first draft around the start of April, assuming no major life events between now and then. Wish me luck!
