I first saw this meme on Cookie Break with Sarina Langer but it’s hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words and I thought it would be a lot of fun to try out. So let’s get started. The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

The Night Bird by [Freeman, Brian]

I am currently reading The Night Bird by Brian Freeman. This book isn't actually available until February 1st - I was able to download it through Kindle First. I started this book last night and am already halfway through it. I've been completely sucked in. A fast-paced and original thriller, I'm really enjoying it.

I'm also reading Blood Shackles by Rosemary A Johns. I've just started this one and will be reviewing it for BFS so you're likely to see a review for it here too. It's too soon to say much about it but the first book in this series was good so I'm hopeful.

What did you recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading Arcanum Unbounded by Brandon Sanderson. I have to be honest, I love Brandon Sanderson so I'm not sure that he could write something I didn't enjoy but this is an excellent collection of stories. My favourites were Edgedancer, The Emperor's Soul and Sixth of the Dusk. As always with Sanderson, the world-building is rich and gloriously imagined. If I could write like him...

What do you think you'll read next?

I expect to read Asian Monsters next and I am very much looking forward to it. More about that in Friday's post.

There's also a good chance that I'll read a thriller or something easy alongside this. I do have several on my kindle to choose from but I haven't narrowed it down yet!

What about you? What are you reading? Do any of these books tickle your fancy? Do let me know in the comments!
